Maternity photography with Victoria's Portrait and Wedding Photography, Dover, Kent

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of photographing Mum to be, Ash and her husband Darren.

Prior to the session, I met with Ash to discuss the types of photos she wanted from her maternity photography session. We looked at various maternity photography poses and I noted whether Ash wanted photos of her laid down, standing up, sitting, white/black background, the type of effect she was looking for, etc. We also discussed the types of clothing Ash would bring with her on the day. After this brief meeting I was able to plan the session and also felt that we both knew each other so that on the day Ash was comfortable with me photographing her in various states of undress.

The session was great fun and included a few clothing changes, wrapping Ash in white muslin while attempting to preserve her decency and also involved Darren in many of the photos. This was a great portrait photography session that resulted in some fantastic photos that will provide fond memories for this lovely couple.

Something I thought was extra special about this session was that having photographs taken of Ash with her baby bump was Darren's suggestion.

Baby was due at the end of March so I expect pregnancy has been long forgotten in the busy time of new parenthood ;-0)

Congratulations to you both. I look forward to meeting baby soon.
