Event and Portfolio Photography for the 4N Thanet Launch, 9th July 2010 by Victoria's Portrait and Wedding Photography, Dover, Kent

Back in July I provided photography for the launch of the Thanet 4N launch at the G Casino in Westwood Cross, Broadstairs, Kent.

4N stands for 4Networking which provides friendly and flexible networking with breakfast meetings held Tuesday to Friday from 8am to 10am.

I arrived at the Casino at 7am to set up my studio lights for taking portfolio photographs of the 4N breakfast participants and organisers. While participants were networking, listening to Regional Leader John Botting giving some background on how he joined 4N and how it has benefited him, providing their business overview in the 40 second round and having one to one meetings, I was taking photographs of the action.

Debbie Simmons of A1 IT Web Design is the Group Leader for Thanet 4N - if you'd like to book on one of the Thanet group breakfast meetings you can do so through the 4N website.

Thanet 4N Breakfast meeting are now taking place at The Prospect Inn, Holiday Inn Express, Tothill Street, Minster, Kent, CT12 4AU. Next meetings are taking place on Friday 1st October, Friday 15th October and Friday 29th October.

Breakfast and networking is just £10.

Wedding Photography at The Blazing Donkey by Victoria's Portrait and Wedding Photography, Dover, Kent

A few weeks ago on Sunday the 15th August I had the privilege of photographing the wedding of Sam and David at The Blazing Donkey in Ham, near Sandwich, Kent.


The day’s wedding photography started with me meeting up with Sam in Dover. Once Sam was dressed and happy to be photographed, we took some full length and head and shoulder photographs and also some of Sam with her Dad. The wedding car was just arriving as I hot footed it back to my car and headed to The Blazing Donkey. After getting caught up behind some horses on the narrow country road I eventually made it to the Blazing Donkey and amazingly before the wedding car with Sam and her Dad.

I located David in the bar chilling out with his family and we headed for the garden for some shots of David on his own, with his Best Man and also with his Mum and Sister.

It wasn’t long before the beautiful bride arrived and the wedding ceremony began.

It was a wonderful wedding resulting in some fantastic wedding photographs.

The Blazing Donkey is a fantastic wedding venue if you're getting married and haven't yet booked your  venue - the gazebo and gardens are fabulous and the attention to detail is spot on.

Colourful family portrait photography session with Victoria's Portrait and Wedding Photography, Dover, Kent

Things have been so hectic with portrait photography sessions in the studio, wedding photography and also a couple of holidays in our caravan, I have a backlog of photographs I'd like to share with you.

Back at the end of June I photographed a very colourful and fun family portrait photography session of Sandip and Gillian with their beautiful children and Sandip's Mum. Sandip's Mum was visiting from India and they wanted to get some photos of the children on their own and with their Nan, and also of the whole family together.

We started off with the white background and covered a variety of groupings resulting in some fantastic photos. I then hooked up the black background while everyone got changed into their Indian costumes - the room was transformed into a variety of wonderful bright colours. We then took further family portrait photographs of various groupings that resulted in some stunning coulourful images.

Sandip and Gillian were thrilled with their photos and now have two large canvases hanging on their walls.
