The beginning

I have been taking photos for many years but never with any intent other than to put them in family photo albums for us all to enjoy. This all changed when I was arranging my wedding this year and realised that people were charging loads of money to photograph weddings that not all of us could afford. At that point I made a decision that my non day job goal would be to set myself up as a sensibly priced wedding photographer.

I thought I would work towards my goal by first setting up a home studio for portrait photography and once established move into photographing weddings. To help me succeed in this goal I recently participated in a portrait and lighting photography course which was fab and gave me the confidence to finish setting up my home studio in Dover, Kent.

My studio is now ready to go and I have a couple of bookings in November for some family portrait sessions. As an introductory offer I'm offering free studio portrait sessions where clients can purchase individual prints or a disc containing all photos after the session.

With Christmas drawing near it's a great time of year to have your portrait photo taken and maybe give it to someone as a pressie.
